It has been nine months since Appel Orthodontics re-opened our office after Covid-19 shutdowns. A lot has happened in those nine months, but one thing that has remained constant is our dedication to keeping our patients as safe as possible. Thanks to our amazing team, our office has seamlessly integrated new safety measures and protocols into our daily routine, all while maintaining the highest level of orthodontic and patient care. Our amazing patients have also taken the changes in stride and made the transition as smooth as we could have hoped for.

If you’re new to Appel Orthodontics, you may be wondering what exactly we are doing to keep patients safe. We’re glad you asked — your health and wellbeing are our top priority!

How We Are Keeping Patients Safe?

Sanitization: Even before the pandemic, we took sanitization very seriously at Appel Orthodontics. We always have and always will maintain the highest standards for sanitization protocols. You deserve nothing less.

Air Purification: We have implemented several professional-grade air purifiers throughout our office. These help to ensure that our patients and team members are breathing fresh, well-circulated air for the duration of their time in our office.

Masking: In accordance with state and local mandates, all patients and Appel Orthodontic team members must wear masks while in the building. Patients will of course be allowed to remove their masks briefly during their examination. If you do not have a mask with you, we will be happy to provide one.

Social Distancing: The physical layout of our office has been rearranged to accommodate social distancing guidelines. While in the office, everyone should make a concerted effort to remain 6ft apart.

Limited Occupancy: In an effort to reduce the number of people in the office, we are asking that only the patient enter the waiting room after being cleared by our Patient Wellness Coordinator. Additionally, we ask that children only be accompanied by one parent or guardian during their appointment to limit the number of people in the building at one time.

At Appel Orthodontics, we go out of our way to treat our patients like family. And family takes care of one another, especially in the hard times. It is no secret that the pandemic has been hard on all of us, but the care and relationships of our Appel Orthodontic family has made it much easier. We are hopeful about the medical advances and progress that 2021 promises, and between now and then, we promise to continue putting our patient’s safety first.
