Why does it matter that Appel Orthodontics is in-network with my insurance company?
At Appel Orthodontics, we make every effort to be in network with every private insurer in our region. If we aren't in-network with yours, please let us know, and we'll do what we can to get there!
The difference between in-network and out-of-network coverage is substantial. If your orthodontist is in-network with your insurance company, you're entitled to a discounted treatment fee, which means that your orthodontic benefit covers more of your costs. If your orthodontist is out-of-network, your orthodontic benefit is the same, but doesn't go as far. Your treatment isn't discounted, which means higher out-of-pocket costs for you.
We strive to be in-network with as many private insurance companies as we can because it makes treatment affordable for our patients. For us, that's part of treating you like family.

Absolutely! Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are great ways to pay for orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to use FSA funds first, as most FSA is lost when it goes unused. Using an FSA for orthodontic treatment guarantees that this money will not go to waste and the money put into your FSA is usually tax deductible!
