School sports are in full swing! We love to hear that our patients are out getting exercise, learning teamwork, and having a great time. But we don’t want mouth injuries or broken appliances putting a damper on your fun. That’s why we always recommend a mouth guard for our patients who play sports.

Mouth guards protect your teeth and your appliances from accidents on the court or field, and can spare you from pain or an orthodontic emergency. Just be aware that some of the “boil and bite” mouth guards you can get at the store don’t work well for braces.

If you need a mouth guard, just ask us! Someone at the front desk will be happy to provide you with a mouth guard free of charge, or we can make you a custom one. We want to keep your smile looking beautiful!
